How to bid farewell to a pet after its passing, and will it be reincarnated?

When a pet passes away, it's definitely incredibly painful, just like losing a family member. There's no fixed way to say goodbye; the most important thing is to follow your heart.

Some people choose to hold a small, heartfelt farewell ceremony for their pet, like lighting a candle, talking to it, thanking it for being with them for so long, and telling it, "You can rest in peace now." Others might create a photo album of their pet to keep its memory alive. Some choose to bring its ashes home or plant a tree in its memory. These actions aren't for the pet itself, but rather to help us feel a little better.

As for whether it will be reincarnated... no one can say for sure. Science can't prove it, but many people believe that animals have spirits, and their love is real. Some pet owners share stories of new pets whose personalities or appearances are strikingly similar to their previous one, leading them to believe it might be their beloved pet returned. This might just be a coincidence, but it's a comforting thought that warms the heart and makes one feel they haven't truly lost their companion.

In truth, whether reincarnation happens or not isn't what matters; what matters is that you genuinely loved each other. As long as you remember it and still love it, it lives on in your heart. It gave you so much joy – rubbing against your leg, purring by your side – these memories are real, and no one can take them away.

So, allow yourself to cry, say a proper goodbye, and then slowly allow yourself to move forward. If you want to have a pet again in the future, then give another little life a home. Who knows, perhaps one day that familiar gaze will appear before you again.
